Hangzhou nightlife: where to go and what avoid.

Hangzhou is a vibrant city. During the day it offers many historical place to visit: from the beautiful Leifeng Pagoda to the picturesque banks of West Lake. But when the day is over, the Hangzhou nightlife starts!

Hangzhou is known for its nightlife; its karaoke places, night clubs, discos, and pubs. Whatever the type of entertainment that you are looking for, you are sure to find it here in Hangzhou. Here’s our collection of our favorite nightlife places in Hangzhou.

College Bar

1. College Bar

Address: (Yugu Road) 3 Lanjia Wan

Located near one of Zhejiang University campus, college bar is the meeting place of many students and people. It offers a large variety of beers, drinks and food. Moreover, thanks to the many screens inside, it became a popular place where enjoy sport matches.

2. Mojito

Adress (Yuquan Campus branch): 5 Lanjiawan

It has two branches: one close to Yuquan campus and the other close to Zijingang campus. Mojito is one of the most popular student hangouts and of the Hangzhou nightlife.

Club

3. 9 Club

Address: Wantang Rd. 9

One thing that was always hard to find in Hangzhou was a pool hall. That is, of course, until now. Spread out over hundreds of well-decorated square meters, the 9 Club can be divided into 2 distinct areas: one for billiards, and one for live music. So if you’re a pool shark hunting for a place to ply your trade, a fan of live music (or a performer of), then there’s a good chance the 9 Club is just the place you’ve been looking for.

4. Basement

Address: 23 Jiaogong Road

Basement is disco that as name said is located on below street level. This dimly-lit joint is now a staple of Hangzhou nightlife scene.

5. Qing Teng Teahouse

Address: Yuan Hua Plaza, 278 Nanshan Road

Qing Teng is a popular teahouse and is a must-visit place for those looking for a wonderful teahouse experience. Even if you’re not a huge fan of tea, the dreamlike interiors and ambiance still make it a great place to unwind after a long day. It offers a large variety of teas along with an exotic selection of main course items, dim sums, desserts, fruits, and nuts.
